News

From the Co-Presidents
November is well underway as is the season of giving. We encourage Ward families to support neighbors, local businesses, and personal causes of importance during this time. We hope you’ll consider supporting the Ward PTO as part of your giving this year. Monday marks the start of our 2021-2022 Annual Fund Drive. Please be on the lookout for an email with more information tomorrow!
Warmly,
Caitlin and Susan

NSF (Newton Schools Foundation)
NSF is seeking a liaison from each school in Newton. Can you represent Ward? The first commitment would be to attend a training session over Zoom with NSF then you would serve as a connection point between NSF and the Ward community - doing such things as sharing grant opportunities with Ward staff and promoting NSF endeavors around Ward. This can all be done from home and on your own time and would only be a commitment of a couple of hours during the entire school year yet would serve a great purpose! Interested or want to learn more? Email copresidents@wardpto.org. Note - an orientation zoom meeting is scheduled for 11/17 at 7pm!

Teacher and Staff Holiday Giving Coordinator
‘Tis almost the season! The PTO is seeking a volunteer or two to assist with coordinating holiday gift giving to all staff members in accordance with the NPS gift-giving policy. This person would work with the room parent coordinator and the co-presidents and be responsible for dividing funds, purchasing gifts, packaging/labeling gifts and delivering gifts to Ward. Interested or want to learn more? Email copresidents@wardpto.org.

Ward Cares
A reminder that if you are financially unable to procure Binax now COVID tests to have at your own home, Ward Cares is here to help - please email Keren at keren.wainger@gmail.com and we are happy to support community members in obtaining these useful resources.

Lost and Found
Missing a jacket? Water bottle? Hat? Anything else? Please check out the lost and found section of our web site (https://www.wardpto.org/lost-found) and claim items before a December donation.

The Newton North High School Science Team is a club that participates in science and engineering competitions.
