From the Co-Presidents:
As Thanksgiving approaches, we take this opportunity to reflect on the school year so far. We are truly thankful to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to volunteer for our school and the PTO. Thank you to our teachers and Becca Brogadir for all they do to teach, care for, and support our children. Together, we are all creating a nurturing environment for our children to thrive. Thank you for your continued support and commitment!
We would also like to express our gratitude to our 2nd-grade potluck hosts, Marisa Morrison and Mike Simone. We are fortunate to have had so many wonderful families at Ward who open their homes to bring our community together. It’s such a pleasure to spend time with parents outside of the usual drop-offs and pick-ups! This concludes our potluck season until next year!
In exciting news, the new playground equipment at Ward is officially open! We hope you stop by to enjoy these fun new additions to our school. Huge thank you to Julian Ismay, a Ward graduate and Eagle Scout, who designed, planned, and coordinated this major effort in conjunction with the City of Newton Park and Rec as his Eagle Scout Project. And many thanks to everyone who donated as part of our playground drive last spring to make this possible.
We hope you have a fantastic week and a wonderful Thanksgiving break. As always, please email us anytime at copresidents@wardpto.org with your ideas, questions, concerns, or ways we can help.
