Mystery Dinner

This is an ADULTS-ONLY evening, so line up your childcare now! It is a night you will not want to miss! This is not only a fun way to meet the Ward community but also one of the largest school-wide fundraisers we have.

What is the Mystery Dinner?
It is a progressive-style dinner event. Everyone will begin at the same location for appetizers at 6 p.m. Just before 8 p.m., you will be handed an envelope with the location of your dinner house. Dinners are small and intimate, ranging from 8 to 12 people. It’s a great way to meet Ward families. Following dinner, everyone meets back up at a dessert house around 10 p.m. for more fun!

Can I Host a Dinner?
YES YOU CAN! We need many host families to make this night a success. Host families provide guests with food and beverages, usually around 8-12 people. Some families choose to cook the meal, some choose catering/takeout, and some do a combination, so please don't be afraid to volunteer even if you're not a great cook. This is a great way to meet Ward families in a smaller setting. As a host, you may choose any theme to entertain your guests. For anyone new to hosting and thinking about it, we are happy to answer any questions and connect you with past hosts to provide insight on their experience.

Examples from past years: A trip to Tuscany, Land, Sea, and Bubbles, Greeking Out, Burger & Co. French Countryside, The Bar at Capitol Chill, Margaritas and Margheritas.

Can I Host Appetizers?
This portion is a great way to set the tone for the evening. It runs from 6 to 8 p.m., with a hard stop at 8 p.m. since all guests will be leaving for dinner. You will be tasked with appetizers and beverages for roughly 100-125 people.

Can I Host Dessert?
Do you love a big late-night party? This is the portion for you! Parent volunteers provide desserts, and you would be tasked with beverages and space for 75- 100 people.
